It was a regular Saturday morning (or as regular as our lives have been in the last two weeks). It's 10:00, kids are still in their PJ's, neighbor Olivia is already over for a playdate (it's never too early for a playdate, right?). The phone rings, caller id says Western Med, my heart skips a beat as it always does when the hospital calls. I pick up, it's silent for a moment, then I hear "Babe, it's me, get your butt over here" AHH my man is back. I put him on speaker, everyone, including his parents gather around the phone and he tells us all how much he loves us.
Wow, what miracles we have had everyday, they just keep coming. I have always believed in the power of prayer, but now I know the power prayer.
Just had to send a quick note because I want to call each and every one of you myself to tell you the news but that would take all day :)
My love and thanks to you all,
Christy

ReplyDeleteChristy...and family. I saw your posting on facebook and came over to your blog right away. It is hard to believe all the things you are going through right now. You are so brave to post on your blog...glad to hear that you are seeing the positives. I can really hear your "voice" telling the story and keeping everyone informed. I know Chris may not remember me from the Camarillo installation...but know that I am sending postive thoughts and prayers for healing your way! Stay strong!!! And give those cute girls extra hugs and kisses!!!!!

Christy,
ReplyDeleteVery happy to hear all of the great news..praying everyday for Chris, for you and for the girls. I once read Miracles happen because of God's intervention, our faith and the strength of those who are faced with challenges becoming the miracle workers. Your strength is an inspiration and you have the support of all those around you. Miracles will continue to happen.
God Bless
Steve
Dear Christy, my name is Dodie Mullaney, and I am one of June's friends (grammar school, Flushing, Mueller's etc.)We here in Flushing, NY, Julianne, Cathy Garity, Kathy Lynch, Jean, & Eileen Quinn (in Pa.)and many more, are pulling for Chris. We have been in touch with June by phone and this blog is great! I must speak for myself, but we are all "cyber-seniors", but managing quite well getting and sending information.I am a nurse, and I am happy at least that your experience in the hospital has been positive so far. The best "patient advocate" is the patient himself, and the family, so that you will get everything and anything that Chris needs! I was so impressed with the child specialist! We will talk to and comfort June while she is here, I hope....Prayers and love to all...
ReplyDeleteChristy- We have been thinking and praying for you and Chris everyday and following his progress. This post and the one about the girls' visit brought tears to my eyes. Chris's progress this last week and your strength are so inspiring. Wish we could do something from here on the east coast but know that you we are sending lots of prayers and love your way! Love Lynda and Paul
